COMMANDER'S COMMENTS:

It is an honor to once again be the Commanding Officer of the Camden Light Artillery Association. As we go through this very difficult time of social distancing during the Chinese virus pandemic, I and the staff hope that you and your family remain safe and healthy. We have had to cancel our meetings for April and May and our Armed Forces Day Brunch as a result of mandated restrictions placed on the populous. Our LTC John C Parvin Dining Out was also postponed until a decision can be made in the future. This decision will be based on data available at a later date. These decisions have come about, in part, to the Cherry Hill Armory being closed by the state. If you live near a member or know of a member who has been sick or unable to attend our meetings please contact them to make sure they are alright. I have contacted several members so far just to check on them.

Please contact CPT(Ret) Marc Kantor CLAA if you find a change in member phone numbers or e-mail addresses so that staff may keep our records current.

May Saint Barbara and Molly Pitcher look upon all of us and keep us safe.

CLAA Unit Commander,
1SG(Ret) Ed Powell 1SG Ed Powell

The 3-112FA held live fire exercises at Ft Dix during 2015 AT.

This is the new M777A2 155mm towed Howitzer at rest and in action. Notice the round in flight.

At their 2014 Annual Training, the 3-112FA conducted combined live fire exercises with the 2-315FA and Marine Aviation Unit HMH772. Their guns, M119, were picked up at one firing point, flown to another, put in place, registered and fired. Very exciting, very efficient, very exclusive for the New Jersey National Guard. Congratulations on a job well done to then BN Commander LTC Robert Hughes, his staff and members of 3-112FA who are now considered 'air mobile'.

M54 PROJECT:

The M54A2 restoration is finished and the truck is ready for the next parade.

The hood number, 41224129, is in honor of a member of C Btry mess section, the HQ-2 is in honor of a member of BN staff. Both of these men have passed, but are not forgotten.
